AMOR BERNABE’S FOUNDATIONS ARE GROUNDED ON CRAFTMANSHIP, SLOW FASHION, AND SUSTAINABLE DESIGN.

We make one collection a year which is always conceptual based on something that inspires us and breaking it down to reach other shapes.  We combine contemporary esthetics with the subtle imperfections and the impossibility of industrialization that come with being handmade.

At Amor Bernabé we work with modelling clay, when dry we sand and paint them with ink, most of the time we make our own color mixes to make it unique, and 4 layers of varnish to give extra resistance. There are many pieces that we discard, but ceramics allow us to be recycled and start from the beginning. In our first CURVE collection we were inspired by the work of Oscar Niemeyer, in MEDITERRANEO in maritime life and in A RIBBON DANCING ON A FAN (what its own title already tells us), these concepts let our imagination run free, we are not based in any trend of fashion of the moment, but on the art and enjoyment of working with our hands.

THE AMOR BERNABÉ EARRINGS
ARE MADE BY HERSELF, BUT
CONSIDERING FAMILY AND
CLOSEST FRIENDS AS PART OF THE
TEAM SINCE THEIR OPINION AND
IDEAS ARE CRUCIAL.

The adventure of Amor Bernabé begins in 2021 after a few years in England and working as a waitress once she finished her Fashion Design studies. She decides to reconceive herself with the creative world and begins to receive ceramic classes. What at first was going to be a hobby, becomes a possible capsule collection for a portfolio and became finally the start of the brand. We have now just moved to Edinburgh and have our little workshop in Leith.

CURVE

I work with clay using three different techniques: coiling, slab work and pinching. The intuition of my hand movements working with the clay gives way to the collection.

MEDITERRÁNEO

This is an introspective voyage of where I come from and who I am – a woman from the Mediterranean.

NEW COLLECTION

In this collection, I am navigating myself. Nearly four years removed from what I used to call home, a sea of doubts begin to surface within me.
